...should the Bengals fire Chuck Bresnahan as defensive coordinator? I had some hope after the season they created a record amount of turnovers (2005-'06) and then last year the defense was horrible again. Today's debacle against the Browns was the last straw for me. Giving up 51 points and letting Derek Anderson throw 5 touchdowns?!?! I can blame the players as well, but the poor coaching on the defensive side of the ball has been ridiculous. It is the coach/coordinator's job to prepare the players for the upcoming game and Cincy's defense looked unprepared today against Cleveland. I felt Bresnahan should have been fired after last season. Am I out of line for believing he should be fired now?

I have been saying since they fired Leslie Frasier that they made a mistake. This guy was run out on a rail in Oakland and the only reason he was hired was he had a similar philosophy to Marvin. Don't blitz. Bend but don't break. That is great if you have Ed Reed and a young Ray Lewis along with many other great players. If you have a young team, you need to blitz and DISGUISE it for god's sake. This is why Lebaeu is so good in Pittsburgh. You can't recognize what they are doing. In the Baltimore game, Baltimore was taken aback because the Bengals actually blitzed. They NEVER do so it really threw the Ravens. After one week of game film watching, the Browns knew what they were doing EVERY time. Lapham on the radio was so mad because it seemed like they were using the Patriots book on how to steal signals. The real problem is you have defensive coordinator that knows nothing about blitzing because that is what Marvin wanted. Who do you blame, Bresnahan in all his incompetance or Marvin, who hired him because his philosophy is not to blitz? All Bengals fans can hope is that Romeo Crennel gets fired so we can pick him up at the end of the year. He was great in New England as a D coordinator.

The Bengals have not had problems with the Browns lately, they've won the last 5 match ups until today. I guess you could say the Browns were do. But yes, Fire Bresnahan, the man obviously cannot put together a stable defense. The Bengals have decent talent on defense and to let up that many points!! This is the second time now in a couple years they've let up an ungodly amount of points to the Browns. I don't rate quality defensives on their turnover ratio. Rather they should be the more consistent part of your team. How many times being ranked last in rushing D is it going to take before Mr. Brown gets the clue. Whats the deal with Marvin though, isnt he supposed to be a defensive guru? That defense has no character, flaky at best. Do the shake up on D now before we get to far into the season. By the way, can we get Lebeau back?

It's the players' faults for not making plays. Both defenses fell apart today. Yes, the Bengals D gave up 51 points, but my Browns D gave up 45. And Palmer was bringing your team back down the field until Bodden's interception with less than half a minute to go!

I don't fault the Browns defensive coordinator - Todd Grantham - I fault the players!

Both defensive teams are going to have to work hard in practice and study films more this week.

I heard it was a high scoring game and a great game too.
I am not sure if they should fire Chuck Bresnahan because you had enough of him as a defensive coordinator. It depends on the owner whether he should get fired.

I saw the game, and I think if not fired a serious re-look. The Bengal's D has been going down hill consistently since 05-06. I mean, seriously, how can you ask your offense to do more--your QB throws 6 TD's and you still lose? Someone needs to be accountable for the D.

Pasture. Put him to pasture.
