"Israel has enforced a news blackout on what may be its air force's most audacious raid since its jets destroyed Saddam Hussein's nuclear reactor in 1981. The Israeli government has made no comment about the raid on what is believed to be a nuclear installation in Syria and Israeli newspapers have been forbidden to write anything on the subject.
When asked about the raid, Ehud Olmert, the Israeli prime minister, refused to provide details. "The security services and Israeli defence forces are demonstrating unusual courage. We naturally cannot always show the public our cards."

Instead the details of the raid have been leaked to a series of foreign newspapers. According to the leaks, eight Israeli F-15 bombers entered Syrian airspace in the early hours of September 6. They successfully evaded Syrian radar and air defences and attacked a research establishment on the Euphrates river in northern Syria, destroying it completely."

BTW

Iran and Syria have no Nuclear weapons, Israel has 200-300.

Iran and Syria have not bombed any countries in decades. Israel has been in violation of dozens of U.N. Resolutions, having illegally Occupied the West Bank and Golan Heights and having invaded, bombed and committed War Crimes in Gaza and Lebanon.

They don't have that right. But that didn't stop them from bombing Lebanon--a successful capitalist democracy

If Syria was in fact pursuing nuclear capability then Israel had every right to act to prevent that. At this point everything is pure speculation, so all we can take are theoretical positions. You claim that Syria has not bombed anyone in 'decades', yet how exactly did Iranian and Russian made missiles find their way into Hizbullah hands? Last I checked, Lebanon is completely encased in Syria, meaning any overland 'smuggling' can only go through one entity. I'm pretty sure I remember those missiles being used less than decades ago. Syria is and always has been the aggressor in the Middle East, and if the speculation proves true, Israel was wholly justified in its raid.

Israel hasn't commented on the incident, and all real innovations is coming from 2nd hand components. enable's take a roundup of who stated what: Israel- mum's the notice. Syria- Israeli planes flew over, have been fired upon and then dropped munitions and gas-tanks to flee swifter usa- Israel bombed a cargo of Iranian hands headed to Hizbullah by way of Syria, and interior the attack additionally blanketed floor troops. usa helps this challenge. of course, Syria and usa have differing bills of what got here about. If what usa says is actual, then did Israel fairly do something incorrect? Syria has stated that they are not actively supporting Hizbullah or the pass of hands to them. And yet, here we've what's outwardly a brilliant cargo of hands vacationing by way of Syria to Hizbullah. If Syria become interior the understand, than the real aggressor is Syria for arming terrorists who attack Israel, and as a effect Israel's action is justified. If Syria become no longer interior the understand, than it become an attack on smuggler's and not Syria itself, and the attack continues to be justified by way of fact Syria is obviously incapable of combating the smuggling itself. In Syria's version, it become greater a foray into Syrian airspace then an attack. this may well be a breach of diplomacy, yet never an brazenly aggressive act. Neither of those 2 countries have presented evidence for their version of activities different than unmarked gas tanks, so it is fairly basically a rely of who you have self belief.

BECAUSE THEY CAN !!!! It is as simple as that.

Further make NO mistake but that such Israeli action had the "blessing" of the war mongering US.

As the ONLY nuclear power in the Middle East (thanks to the the US ) , Israel can get away at least in the short term with their outrageous violations of other country's sovereignty.

It is no wonder that other nations in the area are JUSTIFIABLE ONLY WANTING WHAT ISRAEL HAS ,NO MORE , NO LESS.

The day of reckoning started on 9/11.

Ah, Israel's occupation of the WestBank and the Golan heights, is't illegal.

The UN has never called it illegal.

As to what right Israel has to bomb Syria:

If a country invades your country, do you have a right to bomb theior country ??

Well did not Syria invade israel in 1973 ?

Is not Syria still in a state of war against Israel ?

Does not Syria, refuse to sign a peace treaty to end the war ?

Now lets see, you illegally invade another country, get your butt whipped, refuse to make peace,

And then complain when they bomb you ????

Send Syria some cheese to go with their whines.

The UN is an Israel-bashing club. Their resolutions are obviously based on the anti-Semitism of the Middle Eastern bloc.

Syria has repeatedly attacked Israel. They cannot be trusted. Israel has NEVER started a war, only finished them.

Anyone who uses The Guardian as their source is being pretty obvious about their bigotry.

You been on the far left hate sites again? Syria was the place the Iranians were shipping thousands of missles through to get to Hezbollah in Lebanon. Isreal can hardly be blamed for destroying a real threat to them, be it in Lebanon or Syria. Maybe the Syrians will behave better if it's their butts in the gun sight.

The same right that the USA had to bomb those who would kill us. They have the right to stop an immediate threat to their survival. Israel is like an ant surrounded by a sea of elephants trying to squish it (talking about land mass and poplulation). Thank God the USA gives much military aid and supplys to Israel still.

"Never again". Israel will not allow their evil neighbors to develop the Bomb. Period. Self preservation is what Israel is all about. Syria with the Bomb is a real danger. I would not be surprised to see (and would support) Israel hitting Iran.
