DON'T FEED THE ALLIGATOR...IT WON'T EAT YOU!! THEY FEAR HUMANS..BUT IF YOU FEED IT IT IS NOT GOING TO FEAR US!!

Alligators don't normally eat people. Crocodiles have watched humans grow up and understand humans can be food.

Since they have been both isolated from humans for all but about 5 or 6 thousand years, they don't really understand we're on the menu, unless we teach them.

Alligators might tear you apart, but not eat you! Normally, alligators avoid humans, if they feel threatened YES THEY WILL ATTACK!

When humans FEED alligators, it causes the alligators to lose their natural fear of humans and to associate humans with food.

There are far more alligator attacks on dogs than on humans.

Weren't three people killed by alligators in Florida during this past May? Two were joggers, attacked by a big one on back roads. The third person was fishing off a low bridge and the gator jumped up and dragged him down, drowning him.

It's a predator. If you want to swim with it, you're taking some stupid chances. Even the Crocodile Hunter had a lot of respect for these creatures, you should too.

Absolutely not. Gators are up to twice as powerful in the water than on land (and no, unless you can bring back Steve Irwin and his gator posse is there anyway in hell you can take down a gator) Friendly or not, once you enter their territory they can and WILL attack you. Why would she attack? It could be hunger or worse, she wants to play. Like puppies, lions and pretty much any predator you find they learn their hunter skills by playing with each other. Play with her like that and you won't return home in one piece. It is in no circumstances safe to be close to a gator like that even if odds are against an attack, nature is unpredictable. And I'm sure your family would hate to lose you.

Wild right- WILD no matter what you do it is still living on the natural survival instincts! Do not swim or get in the water no wild animal can be tamed only modified in a way but that is not safe either! They will always be wild and that is the way nature intended! Be careful and love the creature but stay and always be at a safe distance!

OMG --- I do not CARE how "friendly" this animal is to you. I live in Florida too - - have most of my life. First of all the stupidest thing you can do is FEED AN ALLIGATOR. Once it stops -- they become very aggressive. YES, They can AND WILL (they are wild -- they do not have the brain and heart you THINK they have) --- they go on instinct. It WILL and CAN pull you under -- that is what they do. OMG --- DON'T BE SO FREAKIN STUPID......READ READ READ!!!!!

It is illegal to feed an alligator and, yes, they do eat people if they get big enough and can catch someone.

Even if he is small and you think he's friendly, you are signing his death warrent by making him dependent on people for food and taking away his fear of man. He will eventually attack a dog at least and then a licensed trapper will be called to kill him.

Stay away from ANY wild animals - leave them be.

No, you will not be safe. Yes alligators eat humans. They naturally go for the 'easy' prey, which is a dog on a chain, a child near the water, or an idiot swimming with them. Sorry darlin', but that is the truth! Don't go near the water!

You should not feed that gator either. It encourages it to come to human environment - where beloved children and pets are. I am dead serious. I'm a Louisiana girl - born and raised.

The main reason this alligator is friendly to you is it sees you as a source of food. This issue could get confusing to the gator should you jump in the water with him.

Yes, alligators eat people if given the chance, and you're gonna die a gruesome and painful death if you don't stop playing with this thing like it's a golden retriever.

depends on what kind the aligator is. some don't eat humans but attack humans but a real wild aligators do eat humans.

and watch out even if the aligator is friendly, he/she might attack you. i've seen dangers happening even to experts who perform animal shows.
