Do you enjoy the Ride when you are Lost?

I remember when we were kids, and my dad would fill up the tank and ask my mom "honey" where do you want to go? and she would say, i don't know...then my dad would say'"well, HERE WE GO! and off we would go...somewhere...down the road and make a turn left or right...and we'd just "get lost" and ride around for hours..back roads, small towns, stop and get snacks, and my mom would ask, "where are we? "i don't know?, let's ask, my dad would say..and we would be somewhere down by Indiana, and the next thing we knew, we would stop and see some friends...it was quite the adventure, my dad was cool....and we loved it....weekends were special...lol...but now, i just pull in and ask, and turn around to go where i need too...sure do miss those times....lol...

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
There are several variables to consider.
Negative:
1. Do I have a map?
2. Do I have enough gas?
3. Does being lost make me late for something?
4. Do I have a signal on my cell phone?
5. Am I in a dangerous area?
6. Are road conditions and the weather OK?
7. Am I with someone who freaks out when they're lost?
8. Am I self-sufficient enough in case something happens?
9. Do I become a nervous driver when lost & worried?
10. Is my car in good shape or prone to breakdowns?
Positive:
1. I love roaming around new territories. It's an adventure.
2. Nothing is that important that I can't postpone it.
3. Being lost can provide lots of humor to a boring trip.
4. It's fun being lost with that special someone.
5. Sometimes being lost leads to exciting surprises & vistas.
6. Often being lost is actually an unknown shortcut.
7. Being lost is a challenge to your sense of directions.
8. It's a good excuse for wasting a day, being late, etc.
9. Often I don't know where I'm going as I explore new areas.
10. I found my present house when I was lost in farm country.

It is possible to enjoy the ride even when one is lost, provided one has never had any destination in mind so that there would be no cause to feel lost even if one is actually wandering aimlessly. Life is like that for a majority of us!!

Sometimes i enjoyed it for i see it as a test whether our sense of tracking or confidence level in life bears me. I see it rather as a big challenge to cope on situations like this. It is a test to me how far i could go without lifeline to depend with. The enjoyment i got is based on how could i get back on the road map where i should be.

Depends on how long I'm lost for and how late I am. Ha.
I generally try to enjoy the moment and take in my new surroundings, but even as laid back as I am... it can be hard to do that at times!

Always. When our children were younger we used to go out in the car and just follow our nose.
We found many brilliant places that were not shown on any of the maps we had.
Even today, we are still tempted by unknown territory.

I always say we will find our way home again...eventually. You never know what's around the next bend. You need to think of it as a challenge, a test or an adventure. I always know I'll make it home one way or another.

i think it depends on where u are lost...
first i might get worried or frightened... but if the scene is nice.... why not enjoy the scene cause if you are not lost.. u might not have uncover it....

It depends when I am by myself I get scared...but when I am with others and I get lost its funny and an adventure :))))
