I just don't know. My left arm has been troublesome for a few weeks and now my right a little. Pressure, pain, tingling.. I went to the ER a few weeks ago and the doctor didn't think it was a cardiac episode..... but I just don't understand this. Can a pinched nerve cause these things, like in the neck?

I'm 34 and in good shape, non-smoker etc. Maybe anxiety is making it worse.

A pinched nerve can definitely be causing the problem. Have you had any recent neck injuries, strained muscles, etc... The brachial plexus runs through your neck and down your arm, so trouble with muscles in the neck can be causing what you are describing. Also, a displaced vertebra could be the issue, but it's more likely that the discomfort would be only one-sided. Disc troubles usually occur postero-laterally or off to one side, but it is possible to get both sides. I would see a chiropractor and have them adjust you. If you tell them about your symptoms they will know where to look.

Re: anxiety. Anxiety can most definitely make your symptoms worse. Stretch, relax, breathe. Find your triggers, discover their roots and get rid of their symptoms.

Good luck! God bless!
