I have a skiff called Liffey named after a river in the Isle of Mists.

Some other names I like are:

An Faoiléan means "The seagull"

Iolar na Mara means "Eagle of the Sea"

There's an Irish boat here in Brittany called "Saoirse", meaning freedom. I've always thought it was a great name for a boat!

Dulaman. It means a seaweed that was commonly harvested for food during the famine. There is even a lovely song about it.

"Marcella", it was my mother's name, I always thought it was "Italian" but, I'm informed that it is very IRISH by a fellow "Harp", we just had a new daughter, her name is "Marcella", the name rolls off the tongue nicely, doesn't it ?
