I've been looking around at different sites, papers, and science magazines, and what they all have in common is that they all say the same things. In and about 2010-2012 we,that means us as a planet, will be heading into a very turbulent and energetic section of our universe. The ambient radiation of cosmic levels will be higher, more foreign objects such as meteors,or comets, and maybe rogue planets. It seems that science doesn't really know, but it's scary just the same.As far as locally, the Sun is going to go through the largest solar maximum ever recorded. In past maximums borialis phenomenon was at very high levels, and satellites were even knocked offline globally,as well as ground utilities in the west. This next one is supposed to be 50 times more powerful. Also the planet is going through a magnetic wobble, which may switch north and south poles. With all this information and no one really saying anything about it nationally, what are things we can expect to see going on in everyday life?

None of that is true.

2012 is only famous because an ancient Mayan calendar ends a major cycle on that date.

The Sun is not now going through the largest solar maximum ever recorded and there is no way to predict if the next cycle will larger or not.

The ambient radiation of cosmic levels will be not higher.

No more than the usual numbers of meteors or comets are expected.

There are no rogue planets.

The magnetic pole reversal which may be about to happen is probably going to take thousands of years to complete and may have in fact started hundreds of years ago.

I doubt within the next 5 years anything cataclysmic will happen. Cosmic phenomena are speculation, and sure, a near earth object could strike the planet, but I don't think the odds are increasing significantly of that happening in 5 years. Astronomical time is measured in the 1000s or millions of years. To be sure, the Sun is getting hotter and will continue to do so, but again, the time spans for our sun's evolution are measured in millions, if not billions, of years.

A bigger concern, if I may consult my crystal ball, is overpopulation. Everybody talks about global warming and the things we can do to fight it, but nobody mentions to stop having so many children. India, for example, is the biggest polluter on the planet. Why? Too many people. The U.S. is not far behind either, because it consumes more energy and natural resources than many other large nations combined, especially when it comes to automobiles. To summarize, the ice caps are melting at an alarming and unprecedented rate. The earth's ice caps reflect some of the sun's energy back into space because they are white and white reflects light. A planet's reflectivity index is called its albedo. As the earth's albedo goes down, its temperature goes up and more clouds and pollution means more trapped solar energy. At some point, if not already, the effect is irreversible, and is known as runaway greenhouse effect. Venus is a prime example of that. Its atmosphere is so thick and it traps so much of the solar energy, that the surface temperature is 800 Fahrenheit. As you know, water boils at 212 F and paper catches fire at 451 F. If the earth's temperature rises above 212 F, the oceans will boil off and that will be that. The good news is you and I, and our children's children, will be gone by then. The bad news is that earth's future does not look too rosy, and it doesn't help to have politically-motivated factions deny that this is so. We are far beyond the "natural cyclic temperature fluctuations" hypothesis. In my opinion. And it can only get worse as long as more and more people are born on this planet, who presumably all will want to own a car. Industrial pollution is another grave factor in the equation. Perhaps with the use of scrubber technology in the Third World, such emissions can be greatly reduced, and there are changes being put into effect because, believe it or not, the world is coming to realize that scientists who study such things are telling the truth, they don't have some devious agenda of their own. The melting of the polar caps can be and is measured with precision.

And did you pay attention the arctic ice is melting so quickly they're looking new routes to traverse because of the fact there is no ice? strange. each and every 3 hundred and sixty 5 days looks to convey us into extra turmoil, and that i do worry the top is rather close to; yet each and every technology says an analogous element; we are on the eve of destruction. probably do no longer choose to pay attention this, yet two decades in the past I had a shiny dream the place the international became changing outdoors the church the place i became status interior, and a voice instructed me, "North would be south; east would be west. you need to face your floor." and that i've got tried to witness for Christ extra suitable than ever as I advance in age and Christ. i do no longer see any way now to circumvent the decay of our international. no longer via any works of guy, even even with the shown fact that, different than prayer.

Political leaders suppressing scientific research to justify any policy or policies that will secure their political futures. Eventually, there will be a marriage, so to speak, of science and politics where politically oriented science think tanks will be publishing articles countering all the information you read into.

do you remember the years 2002-2007? they will be just as eventful as those, not more, not less. 2012 is bogus, scientology makes more sense. one theory involves aliens and the lost city of atlantis, i mean cmon how credible is that?
