Jimmy Rollins too. A great feat like everyone is acting??? Look at this:
"Granderson"(DET)- 36(d)_22(t)_22(HR)_23(sb)_ 72rbi-136SO
"Jimmy Rollins"(PHI)- 36(d)_18(t)_27(HR)_36(sb)_ 85rbi-only 76SO
2 more triples and Rollins has an even more impressive season with more rbi's and about half as many strikeouts. I think he is one of the most under-rated players in baseball even though everyone knows he's good. Really, I was just wondering how rare it really was to get 20 of each of them stats in a single season???? anyone know???? Another Q: Why can't the Mets beat the Phillies? Imagine if the Phils wind up making the playoffs.

Don't be like this "silvo" guy. At least try to answer the question. How rare is it? Who has done it before? I don't remember anyone ever doing it but I know there had to be some peoplee back in the day.

Willie Mays and Frank "Wildfire" Schulte are the only people to do it before this season. Mets just aren't as good thats why they can't beat the Phillies. Phils need a new manager.

Chip answered your 1st question. To the second, I agree. I think Rollins is a solid MVP candidate. He's underrated, but not as much as he used to be; more people are taking a closer look at the guy, and finding out what Phillies fans have known for awhile-he's one of the best ML'ers in the game today. The Mets-Phillies thing is also happening with the Angels-Mariners. The Ms play great against everyone else, but get utterly dominated by the Halos. Not long ago, the Ms were playing great, got one game behind LA. The Angels swept them and sent them into a spiral that they've never recovered from. The Ms not only wont win the AL West but more than likely wont win the wild card either. Sometimes, one team just owns another.

Next time try (a) posting the question only once and (b) not deleting the duplicate that has the actual answer.
20/20/20/20 has been done three times in major league history. Granderson this season, Mays in 1957, and some guy you never heard of in 1911.

Chipmaker is correct. Granderson is only the 3rd person to achieve 20/20/20/20. The last was Willie Mays in 1957 and the first was some old dude in 1911.
Give Chipmaker best answer, he is the first one to be 100% correct.

What makes the feat impressive is the 20-triples. If you look over the last 40 years, the number of players that hit 20-triples in a season you can count on one hand.
As far as the Mets & Phillies... I don't know, sorry.

Yup Yup, those are fat numbers. Both Grand & J-Roll are studs. We aint seen # like that since 1900's. Yeah the Mets look way weak and timid against the Phills. Sometimes a team is way dominent against another team, and this year the Phills got the Mets in their back pocket.

Very impressive. Shows he's a well rounded athelete. Doesn't rely on just power or just speed.
Rollins is impressive too. But baseball numbers chasers like round numbers, like 500 hrs, 50 SBs, 20 triples, etc.
