I am flattered when asked, but lately a lot of people have tried to be on my list that are at Level 0 and have asked and answered 0 questions, in those cases, I respectfully decline. Thanks. Good question. Oh, and I decline if they don't have a small bio and don't allow email, as well.

I think hard on who I want to be my contacts, and each one is special.
All of my contacts are people that put a lot of themselves in every answer and question. They make me laugh and the DO NOT agree with everything that I say which is a vey good thing. Most of my contacts are upper level they have been on here a while. Levels 4,5,6 &7. Many are top contributors in the Society Section.
I am selective because I do not want a troll on my list at all.
BTW, you are not on my contacts, but love this question. One of my contacts starred it, so does that count?

If I like there questions I'll become a fan or if someone invites me to be their fan then I usually become theirs. No, I am not on your list yet.

I'm only the fan of someone if they're so consistently correct or amusing that I want to be able to look up their responses, or if for any reason I think I might want to see what they're asking or answering... on this acct, I don't know if I even have any contacts.

Same answer as cutemum. I usually wait for someone to add me as their contact then I in turn become their fan. But from time to time when I get a feel for someone's question or answer I will add them as a contact.

i would see the types of questions they ask or i like their picture or thier answers...and if someone adds me as a contact i would most of the time add them back

i became YOUR fan because you asked me to. usually though, i become someone's fan because i liked a particular answer that showed they had good morals or because i liked enough of their Q&A because of anything else.
