I have a 1991 buick regal...when i am on the freeway I can feel my gas kinda pushin down a little bit like it kinda accerlarates does any body know wat that can be?

That should be normal if you are running the cruise control and going uphill or accelerating up to speed.

This is a normal but annoying characteristic of this transmission. There is nothing that you can do to fix this. It has to do with overdrive. At times you will get sensation that you don't have to press on the pedal to accelerate the vehicle and that the pedal seems to fall away slightly.

If it has cruise control you might be your hitting the accelerate by mistake.Make sure the cruise is off.

it could be numerous things. First thing comes to mind is a vaccum leak. Second is the TPS ( Throttle position sensor).
