yes, and there are many companies that will do it. Be sure to read through all of the fine print and the inclusions and exclusions. I have one on my van, but it does not cover gaskets on the engine unless it is to replace another part. So if I have a head gasket leak but not a cracked head they will not cover it. So be careful when buying.

There are companies that offer aftermarket extendend warrenties for vehicles. However, read through these very carefully, and make sure of the coverage. Some of these are not worth a crap. I purchased an extended bumper to bumper on my 07 Aveo when I purchased it in Sept. of 06. I do not know if you can extend the basic or power train warrenty at this point or not, check with your dealer.

I would think that Chevrolet will mail you an application for extended warranty when you have less than a year left on your factory warranty. At least that is what they did with my last two cars.

Generally about 90 days or something. Call the company and ask them.
