I do tons of plays so I know what you mean. Stage fright at the auditions is very bad. that is your first impression. I have a weird thing that i literally shake with fear during auditions but am fine during the actual show. what i do is lock eyes with the director or whoevers choosing the cast. smile be natural but dont frighten yourself by watching other people. most of the time people whisper when they watch auditions because they find their own faults and fears when they watch others. dont let this intimadate you. now stage fright during the play can be dealt with . to avoid this study your lines so they come naturally . if you are in a scene with a good actor they may cover for you. but they might not. try to really put yourself into the character. if you really act well you can sometimes convince yourself its true. if its a musical and you have to dance and look at the audience scan it. dont look at anyone place. also, dont ever lock eyes with relatives. it tends to make people way more nervous than strangers.if you forget a line, dont clam up, ad lib. hope this helps.

By the time you get to performing, you should have learned your lines and how to play your character really well. Professional actors who 'dry' (forget lines) on stage, usually get helped out by others on stage by coming in with their line. Don't forget you are part of a team and hopefully amongst friends. Also - the audience don't know what the play should be like. I have worked on many plays when actors have said some strange things and even mixed up speeches from different parts of the play, but the audience didn't know that anything was wrong because others on stage helped them to get back on the right track.
Try to enjoy what you are doing and if you don't think about stage fright, it might never happen. Good luck.

You are not a good actor if you cannot use stage fright.
Are you a good actor? If so, Stage Fright is a non-issue. Shut up about it. No es importante. You are freaking yourself out over nothing. Use the energy, channel it in to your Character.
You do not exist. Your Character does not have Stage Fright. Your Character has never even heard of Stage Fright.
Act, fer pete's sake.
3 Deep Breaths, and you'll be cool.

try to focus on one thing it could be someone in the audience or something in your head. or if you have an audience, pretend that they arent there. look at anything to take your mind of the stage fright. concentrate on what your doing and relax!
