Yeah ill agree with the other person.Natural and major disasters are one main reason.Another is if they were to be robbed,they have to lock the doors with everyone who was present, and shut the store down,until the cops arrive.One more great reason,do you really think any place of business or any home even would buy a main outside access door without a lock?i dont even think they would sell them for a business.

I would guess that there are locks just in case there was an emergency or something and they did have to close for some reason.
