Is is 3/5y + a = b

3 + 5ay = 5by {multiply by 5y
5ay - 5by = - 3
y(5a - 5b) = - 3
y = - 3/[5(a - b)]

or

3/(5y + a) = b

3 = b(5y + a) {multiply by (5y + a)
3 = 5by + ab
5by = 3 - ab
y = (3 - ab)/(5b)

Uh , 3 variables , which one are we solving for ?
And are there values for any of the variables ?
Was that 1) ( 3/5y ) + a = b or
2) 3 /( 5y + a ) = b

OK , for 1 , 3 /5y = b - a & 3 = 5y ( b - a )
for 2 , 3 = b(5y + a ) = 5by + ab
