This will be your personal preference for how much you want to spend will equate to how close to the factory look you can get. Keep in mind that no aftermarket paint job will ever look as good or keep as good as an OEM paint job for the simple reason the entire body is electrostaticly charged before the paint is sprayed as well as the steel going through several chemical dips to ensure the paint has optimum sticking properties. Only when you go through this rigorous process will the paint come out looking like a mirror. I have personally never seen an aftermarket paint job with the same luster and richness as the OEM version. It always looks fake in a way. That said, you need to fully examine the color you want your car because you could just go buy another 92 civic with the color you want. That would be easiest. Also, if you decide to paint a car with a different color and don't want obvious areas of the car still to have the new paint missing (inside the engine, trunk, door jambs, etc then you'll have to start removing carpeting, the engine and so on and so forth in order to complete the wanted look. Otherwise, you'll be driving around in a shody car, unless you're the kind of person where half-*** is good enough, which I doubt you are, then you don't want to repaint it.

A cheap paint job wont look good and a good paint job wont be cheap. Its how it is. body and paint work is very expensive and difficult, and costs a pretty penny.

I wouldnt bother. A decent paint job would cost more than the cars worth. Id just sell it and buy on in the color you want.
