I know I am. Just the thing is is that I get criticized for being "too early". What are your favourite times about the year?
Mine is the Gift Giving, Trees and Snow.

Yes! Very excited. Started shopping this past weekend. :-)
You get terrific sales and the choices right now are terrific.

Favorite things: Seeing distance family members; Gift Giving; getting to see snow; music/songs; feelings of Peace On Earth; people being nicer to each other; trying to create that Perfect Family Christmas and Christmas Vacation.

Oh yes...the holiday movies and repeating all the old ones. We decorate our tree to Christmas Vacation and Christmas in Vermont.
Have a terrific holiday season.
Blessings, Patti

Yes, I love to see the expression from my sons - If they make it passed midnight they are allowed to open the presents under the tree. They are 3 and 5, so we don't put out everything at once, so they have stuff to open when they wake up on Christmas morning, and it keeps them occupied while I start my cooking marathon. Last year instead of the usual store bought gift, I made each niece and nephew a dozen cookies and if I knew their favorite that's what they got. My nephew (12 at the time) loved it, warm cookies on Christmas morning. This year I'll be baking jelly thumbprints, sugar and shortbread and chocolate chip x3! Yes, I'm excited about it. I love all the holidays from Halloween to New Year - but I think my favorite is Halloween (which is actually the Celtic New Year villainized as pagan by the Christian movement way back when. Its funny how the Celtic New year can be perverted into something demonic when Christians tried to envelope it and chose Nov.1 as All Saints. Not that I'm pagan or Christian or atheist or whatever, it just seems hypocritical to me.

I am so excited, I think I will go outside on the grass in front of my apartment and do some "snow" angels..

I have already watched Rudolph, last weekend, and I borrowed Miracle on 34th street yesterday from the library. I also read a Christmas book, "The Night Tree" to my husband and my baby son last night. My husband thinks I am obsessed, but cute. I also have started some Christmas crafts. Familyfun.com has some great ideas!!

Christmas songs, celebrating Christ's birth, family, gift giving, crafts, decorating the smell of pine, cooking, snow, tv specials, new pj's, no school, kindness in the air... all of it!!! Except that awful "Christmas Shoes" song.. We need to ban together and get rid of that one. How depressing!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Rageman

I'm totally excited too, and yes, all my work mates are telling me it's too early. The thing I love is how everything looks. Like the snow, and the twinkly lights and the beautifully wrapped gifts with big bows on them. Also plates of lovely smelling food. And I never feel depressed if I have a beautifully decorated tree to look at!

Happy holidays!

I'm ALWAYS excited for Christmas.

Criticize me all they might! I'm just nuts about Christmas! The year-round interior of my home is decorated in such a way that every room can embrace the colors and trimmings of the season!

My favorite things about Christmas?

The memories, the moment
The smells and the comfort
The nearness and dearness
of family and friends.

The joy of remembering,
the excitement of preparing.
The compassion, the caring,
concern and good will.

The crisp winter air
and cuddled tight nights
Walks through the town and
My breath on the breeze.

Gratitude and awe
at the star filled nights
and yearning to glimpse
The One Greatest Light.

I definitely am. I love the change in weather, the beautiful music and all the gorgeous decorations. The gift giving is so much fun. I love Christmas shopping, too! Of course, every year, I dream of a white Christmas. But, here in New York, that doesn't happen as often as I'd like.

I love Christmas! We don't get snow here, ( I live in Southern Arizona) so I've never had a white Christmas, but I do like the trees, the decorations, seeing family, and most of all...celebrating the birth of Christ! Merry early Christmas! : )

I am so freakin' excited for Christmas. I've even started renting all those classic Christmas movies and watching them when it rains. I have been living 1500 miles from my parents for the last six months and they are paying for me to fly back for Christmas, so I am really excited to see them. And snow! I can't wait for snow! Snow is what makes Christmas Christmas for me. I love the feeling that's in the air in December. Only 100 or so days left till the season starts!
