There are just too many damned choices out there...the grass
is always greener philosophy... I used to live in Holland. At the store, there
were 4 kinds of breakfast cereal. I'd pick one and was
satisfied. Just for fun the other day I counted the number
of breakfast cereals in an American market. 67. How
can you be content if you're always waiting for a bigger,
better option and know that it will come. Also, as long
as we're gifted with imagination, we'll never really be
satisfied until the reality meets the dream. Sad.

Every creature has the need to understand.
People strive to make sense out of the world in which they live. They want and need to understand why things happen, and why people behave as they do. It helps to satisfy human curiosity, provides a basis for emotional security, interpersonal relationships, organizational behavior, and policy decisions.
Understanding is a necessary basis in making sense of human life. This is why so many of us are always peeking on the other side of the grass, and constantly seeking out things.
Whether or not one has the credentials to access certain things in life, it is still possible that subject can spark ones interest and curiosities, leading into the trails of seeking and truism.
We crave answers, understandings and the analysis on things...even if we know we cant have them.

We will always seek more as long as we know there is more out there. We want what we can't have because we feel maybe we can have it if we try hard enough. It is definitely a challenge and worth the effort if you get what you wanted.

It's a choice.

You could also stop seeking and be content.
You could also seek and be discontent.

You have the ability to do so. Why anyone would choose to make themselves discontented is an interest phenomenon in Western culture.
