55 is about the right age to have grown up playing video games, starting with the granddaddy of them all, "Pong". Why not play? It keeps your fingers and your mind nimble, to say nothing of eye/hand coordination. I'm a Runescape addict, myself. Started playing RS classic, and have continued on to the new RS. The game just keeps getting bigger and better. And, what do you mean, an age to quit playing video games? Maybe you would like an age to quit using cell phones or iPods, or whatever the next generation gadget is? Ah, youth! I would like to be a fly on the wall when you are 55.

We all need some form of entertainment. What is wrong with a 55 year old playing video games? What is wrong with a 73 year old? As long as they are not neglecting other areas of their lives then I would Rather see them playing video games than other things that they could be doing.357

There are lots of old men that play video games my friends dad still does he's like 51 and I think I know someone in their 60s who uses the PS2 so there's no age limit to this unless you are so old you fingers don't work anymore.

Game on! I think gaming shouldn't have a age requirement. They are good for the gaming community too. Older players are 1000 times better then whinny 13 year olds.

The whole concept of video games has changed over the years. Plenty of adults still play them.
Also, for the elderly, anything that inspires and motivates the mind is a good thing, right?

I think that guy is awesome.
You play until you can't, or at least that's how I'm going to be. My vision and/or hands will have to give out on me before I ever quit. They could be 10 or 100 it doesn't matter to me. Those ratings in the bottom right corner are only suggestions.

I think you should quit playing a kids game and learn a new game that requires thought and thinking skills. try chess, Backgammon, Scrabble, ETC. Your mind is going to rot if you do not use your brain correctly.

You can play videogames at any age...just as long as you don't use them as an excuse to not get out there in the real world.

Why should anyone have to stop? Are you young people afraid that an oldtimer might beat you? It will help keep that man from getting alzheimers disease and dementia as he ages.
