I have one of those round fire pits on my concrete patio, but I know someone who uses one on his Trex deck. He has never had any problems using it there. The legs of my pit never get hot, so it should be O.K. You could always check the instructions that came with the pit, if you have them.

Better play it safe. I would use some pavers , or terra cotta tiles under the fire pit to protect the trex. If you damage the trex, you will have to replace the board, you couldn't just sand it out

Call your home owners insurance company and see what they have to say about it first. You'll have to go along with them or you can loose their support, without them, you don't have a home, the bank will see to that.
