Although the rest of Pennsylvania wishes Philadelphia would secede and become it's own state, no Philadelphia is a city in Pennsylvania.

Philadelphia is a city, but I can see where you get confused. We city-folk definitely have a strong sense of pride. A friend of mine is in the military, and often when people ask, "Where are you from?", others will answer "From the South" or "From Nevada" or something. People from Philly always answer "Philadelphia". It happens with tourists too, when Philly people go visiting other places. They're not necessarily from America, they're from Philadelphia. And with sports fans like ours, it's easy to see why no one knows where Pennsylvania is, but everyone knows where (or at least who)Philadelphia is! It's pretty cool.
