Im not sure if i am turning my computer off right...?

We just got a new mac and its simple. All you have to do is press a button on the back. but i just noticed that if i press a key on the keyboard it comes on. Or if I turn it back on its right where it was. I dont mind it... but I just wanna make sure thats how it is suppose to be... hopefully Im not blowing this out of proportion.

Your mac probably goes to "sleep" and then comes back on when you press that key. To turn it totally off, click the blue Apple in the top left, then click Shut Down.

The correct way is to go to your Blue Apple upper left and scroll down and select Shut Down
