USC gets their pick of they 5 star guys and are a great team. LSU looks also to be an excellent team. Don't worry about the rankings or respect. If you run the table and beat them in the national championship game in New Orleans on January 7th, you will get all the respect you want and more. Let them get all the attention...it will only serve as motivation for LSU if and when you play USC.

Wait till the end of the year....rankings don't mean a thing until then.
By the way, Wisconsin owns the longest winning streak in D-1. How come they keep falling in the polls? Like I said, it does not matter until the end. If LSU, USC, and Wisconsin all remain unbeaten, then it should be LSU v. USC in the finals. Obviously, the Big Ten is a little down this year.

USC and LSU will be a good game if it happens. Right now I'd have to go with USC considering the way they man-handled Nebraska. Florida is good but they were playing a weak Tennessee team. I doubt if Tibow could put on a show like that against a team with a good defense.

It is still too early in the season to define a number one team. In the coming weeks, both teams will be tested againt high ranked teams. Also, the teams are judged on how dominate a win is. Lets not forget, USC was in control of the Nebraska game by halftime. Let a few weeks go by, and ask again.

Unfortunately for LSU, their win was over an unranked opponent, while USC beat a fairly high ranked opponent by almost 3 touchdowns. Not only that, the Pac-10 is an emerging NCAA power.

loll, i agree with you. Had USC lost to Nebraska last night, LSU would def be ranked number one. But I guess since Nebraska was ranked and Middle TN wasn't, a victory over NB counted for more. Don't worry, LSU will take over the #1 spot soon, and even if we don't, hopefully we'll get a chance to play USC for the title.

USC has dominated for so long, they get the benefit of the doubt. It sucks but that's life. If LSU continues to play well, they may dominate.

The polls love USC so much because they're a better team.

Are you insane?! "The SEC gets no respect?!" You're on crack. The SEC gets all the love...and deservedly so. LSU has a tougher schedule for sure and an argument could definitely be made that they deserve to be #1 but to claim that the SEC gets no love is ignorant.
