How Do You Record a PPV Event on your cable DVR?

I have Time Warner Digital Cable with a DVR. The model is an SA 8300. How do I record a PPV event from the program guide on the DVR? Note that I have the Passport Program Guide. Thanks for your help!

Usually, you select the program and then hit record.
However, Time Warner may not allow you to record PPV programs on your DVR.
