I am a surgical technologist, and it is RIDICULOUS how many patients not only lie to the MD, but also think that they are getting away with it...no, we can't catch every lie, but we catch A LOT...it is so stupid, because it puts you at more risk as a patient.

Never. I know my doctor needs to know everything to help me get well. And I also know what I tell him is confidential. Honesty is always the best policy with one's doctor, if you truly want his help.

yes....and by the way, its not a good idea. there is a reason they are asking certain questions and if you lie about the answers thats gonna make it hard to diagnose you properly...i found out.
