My goat, Loo Loo, is going to be bred with another goat, but I need to know when she gets pregnant, how long will it take until she has her babies?

It will be around 5 months- something around 147- 158 days(every goat is different). You should look up the signs of labor an a website and be prepared! Sometimes goats can deliver by themselves, but sometimes goats have more than one kid inside them and problems occur! Also the nutritional needs of a goat change. You don't want your goat being too overweight because they will get ketosis and pregnancy toxemia, but you want her to have enough nutrition for her and her kids inside her. Also first time mothers can have problems. Last year when I bred my alpine boer cross, labor had to be induced by the vet and one of the babies weren't in the right position and came out blue, but survived. Just make sure the goat is old enough to be bred (just over 1 Year is ideal) and it will reduce your chances of having problems. Also have the vet or a local farmer on speed dial. It sounds like you love your goat and you don't want anything bad to happen to it. Delivering kids isn't always easy to do. Hope this helps!
