It has been a strange case from the very beginning, they could not get their story straight about what happened on the evening that Madeleine disappeared. The fact that three young children were left alone while their parents went out eating and drinking. All the publicity that was courted right from the start, the limited company that was formed instead of a charity. Visiting the pope and touring around like celebrities. Finally when the going got tough they returned home instead of fighting to clear their names, now they have employed the best lawyers that money can buy, so money comes into it again.

It happened during the summer, and she is a very pretty little girl, so naturally every parent on holiday, and the wider community immediately wanted her to be found soon and alive. The parent's were foolish to leave her alone.
As time has gone on, and the McCann profile has been so big, naturally there is still a strong focus on the fate of missing Madeleine.

In answer to your first question.
Because we all hope, deep down in our hearts, that this little child, like all others who have gone missing, will be found safe and alive. (Perish the thought, that there are some very nasty people 'out there').
In answer to your second question. This case was, and still is being highlighted to all and sundry by her family.
As regards your opinion. Yes, you are correct. No child as young as Madeline should ever have been left alone, nor her younger siblings.

1) The neglect issue.
2) The parents setting up a 'Madeleine Shop'
3) Sky news.
4) The fact that it happened abroad and we the British have an extraordinary sense of our own superiority.
***Schmoo - tried to find one of your earthshatteringly important questions you ask about war and poverty but your Q&A's are private. Perhaps you could point me in the direction of some of them? Only for someone with such a lot on your mind, you seem to spend an awful lot of time contributing to the McCann questions.

Because of the parents! Oh I have just found out my child is missing so I will ring sky news???? Yeah that's what loving frantic parents would do! They invite people in trampling over possible DNA evidence and then invite the media in for a pose show! They are incredible but it's more incredible that people are supporting them in this charade! I feel sick whenever I see them and hope to God that whatever part they played they will be found out... Suppose Richard can afford a holiday to get away from it all when the - hits the fan.........

I agree. The toddlers never should have been left alone. That is the basis for this whole case, and the parents are responsible for what happened to her.

Part of the blame is the media but also there are thousands of people, especially on here , who want to express their unfounded opinion's This results in the pro Mcaans answering back, and so it builds up. I have read so many unfounded theories here that I could not even count them, all of which are pure guesswork. Hope this answers your question

Yes, I agree it is the behaviour of the parents that is so weird. (rather like the bizarre behaviour of O.J. Simpson - now does anybody think that man is innocent!).
Rats in a trap springs to mind.
I would like to see the fund money go to a childrens' hospice and I think Branson's money would have been better directed that way as well.

(1) because, whilst in a foreign country, they left their children unattended in an unlocked apartment, while they went out...
(2) because they court the media at every opportunity.
(3) because it's a Whodunit?? (meaning who took Madeleine).
The biggest shame about all this media coverage...They still haven't found Madeleine, she is still missing.
