A little bit of Friend help, please?

Question

I have a friend that I've known since we were both six. We're practically attached at the hip and always have been. But, lately, she seems to like to be annoying me. One of the actors I know asked me to join a drama competition with him because he needed another team member. I said I would and my friend pretended to jealously say 'lucky'. I knew it was a joke, but he asked her to come, too. I decided that I wanted to audition for the Spring Play at my high school. She had to, too. I had this great idea for a fund raiser and I told her. She told the team captain that it was her idea and she got credit for it. Random guys come to sit and talk to me at competitions and she HAS to make fun of them so that they leave.
What's up with her? Is it just me or should I dump her for a while? She is becoming a serious problem for me. The whole 'steal idea' scheme forced me to resign from the comedy team I was on, the one that I got drafted into. I love her like a sister! PLEASE help me!

Sounds like she's used to having you all to herself. Now she's jealous that you're getting attention from others. Time to set some boundaries.

She's clinging to you, and jealous of
anything that you do separately.
Maybe the friendship is a bit too close.
Not too healthy, but it might just be
teen insecurity, which she will out-grow.
Stealing the credit for your idea was a
betrayal of your friendship, and unethical,
you should tell her so.
