why is it that most christians say things from the bible like they're facts, I mean kids nowadays say "jesus was the son of god" like the say "2+2=4" its annoying and no ones stops them because everyone else in the room is Christian as well. If I were to go around school talking about Allah or mecca, I would get jumped Immediatly, I just want to know why a lot of Christians are so smug? Why is it that out of the hundreds of religions in the world theirs just happens to be the right one? It is one thing to feel strongly about your religion but to denounce others? that's just wrong

I agree! What an excellent question!
The Christians that read this will surely tell you, "you are a sinner". Then they'll give you a convenient "truth" from the bible.
The problem is they do think they are 100% right.
You can't talk to any of them about it because suddenly" you're just saying what the "devil" wants you to say.
Christians and Catholics are the ones who created the concept of "the devil". It is quite irritating how Christians try to throw their beliefs at you. It makes you more unwilling to want to hear them because they are so unreasonable.
The bible is no more than a book of fables. Stories to be used to teach us how to be good to each other. It's not meant to live by, or use to dictate life. You don't see us proclaiming that Aesops Fables is the bible, yet doesn't that also teach morals?

Not all Christians are like that o.0. Sorry you have to face that kind of criticism. I'm Christian myself, and if anyone were ever to talk about Allah to me, I'd be interested, actually. The Christians you meet don't follow their own religion, and I also think that they're a disgrace to my religion. But on thing: don't you think that your religion is right? It's only natural. But their reaction and actions are wrong. Just ignore them, bear with it, or hang around a better crowd. Those christians are literal translators of the Bible and are most likely obsessed and think they're doing the right thing.

Because I believe Jesus WAS the son of God. And everyone believes their religion is the right one.

I don't denounce any of the modern religions-Judaism, Muslim, Christian, etc. because I think they all have base in fact. They all have stood for so long and have similar teachings, so...

And who would jump you for saying stuff about Allah? I wouldn't and no one I know would. I'm sorry that would happen, but that's really not the fault of Christianity, it's the fault of certain PEOPLE, who might or might not be Christians.

We say things from the Bible like they're facts because they ARE! What you call "smug", we call assured in our faith. There's a big difference between religion & spirituality. In the Christian faith, there are a lot of different sects who will deny each other's credibility like bickering children. The same problem exists between different religions, but you simply can't live 1 faith w/o denouncing the rest. Be strong in your own beliefs w/o being militant about it. Live your faith, & share your beliefs when someone asks, but there's no need to go around shoving it down everyone's throats.

That kind of 'Christian" is unsure in his
faith, and insecure enough to need to use
his religion to try to feel superior.
They are unpleasant and kind of sad.

You happen to be looking at the back end
of this particular horse.
If you're honest, you've probably met some
Muslims you'd prefer to avoid as well.

The idea that Jesus died for the sins of someone that would live many years later is the most ridiculous doctrine ever invented! If we sin, it is God who needs to repent having made us that way. Most of the sins are not sins but just mistakes that we make. If God were merciful, he could forgive us with a wave of his hand; he did not have to torture Jesus on the cross, unless he liked to see someone suffer. Even when Jesus was alive, it seems apparent that that the lives of Judas and those that killed Jesus were not affected in any material way by the so-called forgiveness. That Jesus died for the sins of those who are living today is the height of ridiculousness. How did he know we in the future were going to sin? Because God deliberately made us that way? What a mean old God. Making man in such a way that he had to sin, then blaming him for being the way God made him, and finally killing a man (Jesus) who did not deserve such cruel and useless treatment. Oh, yes, there are even those who say Jesus was God, and that God therefore killed himself. GUESS WHAT? NO GOD COULD BE THAT STUPID, OR THAT NUTS1 Only man could dream up such a bunch of nonsense, that contradicts itself at every step, and find sheep who will actually believe it. If God did kill himself, vis-a-vis Jesus, I am not surprised. He must have been going crazy trying to understand the twisted logic of the people he is accused of creating. It can be truly said, "Man made God in MAN"S image", and man truly made a mess of it. Don't worry, the absolute fool that people created and call God, is a joke that never lived. Thank your lucky stars that such a cruel beast does not exist, and we need no longer make ourselves subject to the irrational ravings of the insane men who invented religion!

first thing, Christians are not smug about everything. We go around quoting the bible like simple math problems becuse the Lord has told us to spread the good news of Him and His Son, Jesus Christ. Denouncing other religions...a bit extreme but possibley nessicary.
