Such problem can be solved systematically with a coordinate system. Let us have x-axis pointing to the east and y-axis pointing to the north. Let us also call the plan vector P, wind vector W, and the resulting vector R. As you know, the unit vector along the x-axis is i and along the y-axis is j.
P = 760sin20(degree)i + 760cos20(degree)j
W = 60i
R = P + W
= {60 + 760sin20(degree)}i + 760cos20(degree)j
= Ai + Bj
So the direction is: arc tan(B/A) or tan^(-1)(B/A)
and the relative speed to ground is: sqrt(A^2 + B^2)
