this person has had several ads posted for 4 different films. the casting director says he's new to the industry, but there is no mention of auditions....only "meet and greet" parties. also, isn't it unusual to have to write a bio, etc. ? what do you think?

craig's list is hardly a great place to find auditions
meet and greet parties are ways for the producers to find suckers to invest in their projects.
I think you'd be better off with an agent to find you auditions, if you are ready for an agent and if you are not, you are not ready for auditions.
I teach how to get ready. I do not charge anything. Read my profile and write to me at my aol address.

Your first hint should have been that the film is due to be shot in 2010.

It's too vague & they want to know more about you than you're told about them.

The fact that you're even asking about these ads is a good indicator that you sense something's up.

Go with you're instincts!
