i think anthropology is a science in progress. you can always look back on a society in the past and state facts, but to completely agree on a culture that exists i do not think is really possible, other than to state facts like, they eat more meat than any other country in the world, or they burn less fuel than any other culture in the world. ethics between cultures are relatively similar, but the extent to which they are heeded can be different.

I think it's important that they come to a non-opinionated, general analysis of what the researchers are doing their work on. (who/what/where/when etc).
This is to help others who are trying to get informative facts ;not personal opinions. Unlike politics, research is done to discover and analyze. Researchers may form their own feelings on topics, but that should stay out of the books; leave it up to each individual to form their own opinion off of general certainty.

None. Most educated people believed that the Earth was flat 500 years ago and for many years. Popularity, doesn't make it so.
