Please help. English homework!!!?

Okay so my english teacher wants us to list several reasons for why it is important to be able to see a situation through another person's point of view. And you cannot just say "To understand them" You gotta be specific. very. I already have a few ideas, but you have to have a lot in order to group them by subject. Please help me.

To know what it is like to be in their shoes.
To feel what they are feeling/seeing.
Cuz our way is not always the only way and it is not always the right way.

We need to listen to other views before making up our mind
