My clothes drier has started leaving burnt streaks on some of the whites and lighter colors. I cannot figure out where or how this is happening but i do know the drier is less than 4 years old and SHOULD NOT be doing any of this. HELP PLEASE!

Problem is more apparent on light fabric but it's probably on your darks as well.

* It could be your washing process. If the cloths have not been rinsed properly, residual alkalinity from the laundry chemical can cause scorching of the fabric when heat is applied either by an iron or in a dryer.

* Fix -
Use about ~30ml of Vinegar in final rinse to neutralize fabric or use a neutral wool wash as a main wash detergent.

* Dryer - Use low heat cycles or hang cloths out to air dry (better for the Environment).

Good Luck!!

You're right: It shouldn't. If your drier is under warranty, get the manufacturer to fix it.

Meanwhile, try selecting a lower temperature. Or if you don't feel at ease with that, use a clothes line.

Good luck!
