I would go to a smaller city like Prague, Dubrovnik, Venice or something like that in order to see as much as you can....larger cities like Paris, Rome, Berlin will need more time to appreciate it.

I am not sure where you are based.....there are ones like lastminute.com which has weekend trips, but sometimes you can do it cheaper...I will give you a good webiste for cheap airlines ( mainly for europe)...for accommodaiton look at websites like hostels.com. hostelworld.com, hostelbookers.com which also have cheap hotels if you don;t want to go to a hostel.......
Have fun

I guess if I only had a weekend, I would go to London, check out the pubs and do some shopping at Harrod's.

If you plan to go to Italy, try Venice. Its a good spot for a weekend trip and you can see everything there is to see in that amount of time without feeling like you missed something.

I understand you're from the west, yet on an analogous time it quite is quite helpful to boost the horizons to discover something quite effective and delightful to the attention. of direction, there are the common vacationer places (Cologne, Duesseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, et al.), yet i do no longer think of that tells the existence of Germany, the rustic, and its people. Rothenburg (already suggested) even with the overpowering waves of tourism is usually a solid wager. For something extra useful, i could circulate to Wuerzburg. returned, it quite is all in Bavaria, yet i think of you will get a extra useful image of what Germany looks like without all the vacationers. a pair of actually large little cities are Trier (which isn't too far from you in Rheinland Pfalz) and Kempten, that's interior the deep south. the two a sort of places are very previous, yet nonetheless have that German small city attraction that has never been compromised via international or relatives tourism. provide those places a attempt, i think of you will approve.

Prague, Czech Republic!

You can even take a day trip to Cesky Krumlov, also feel free to visit Plzen and/or Brno.

Prague has a lot to offer - in other words, to see and to do!

You won't regret it!
