I want to follow the rugby world cup, but don't know on what channels they are showing it here in the US, if they are even showing it.

It's on Setanta Sports. You can catch it over the IRB web site also.

Setanta carries all the games, only some of them live. It's about $15/mo on Directv or Dish Network.

Versus is also showing some of the games. I think they picked up all the USA games, a few good matchups, and the knockout stages.

It is only available in certain premium markets and off satelite. It is on pay perview in some markets and there is a website that you can get it on a pay per view basis. Many Irish Pubs run the world cup off a comercial satelite system. There is usually a $20 cover charge.
