Of course they have had the power to stop the war anytime they wanted for close to a year now,yet have chosen to let it continue.

and you want to rely on this guy...i dont think so...democrats are going to do only whats in their best interest and they make too many points whining about the war to put up a good plan to stop it...the answer is no.

Why is that people don't seem to realize that the Democrats only have a small minority in both houses, they cannot get enough Republicans to vote with them to by-pass Bush's veto of anything they try to pass; including stopping the war in Iraq or the funding for the war! Wake up, learn something about your government before your start yammering about what the Democrats are doing & stop playing the blame game. The fault lies with all of them!

They can't, they need 67 votes in the Senate to stop the war. They only have 51 votes. So the war will continue until a Democrat is in the white house.

The don't have the votes in the Senate. Lieberman always votes Republican on war issues. There is no way they can...yet. Wait until the elections in 08. Should be interesting then.
