do you think it's more appropriate to give stars(more about PRESTIGE) than hearts(more about what we LOVE)?

I want both, I star lots of questions because I feel that they are
good questions, but not necessary display a lot of warmth and
humanity, and those I would gladly award a Heart.
And if somebody collects enough Hearts ( and thumbs up )
I'd like to see them Rewarded with a badge as well,
Something Green ( Red may be mistaken for
a warning ) as an alternative to Top Contributor.
Giving lots of answers and being on Y/A often, posing lots
of questions as well ( and getting some right ) is only one
side of being a good citizen.
But to reward politeness, friendliness, empathy, as desirable
qualities would be a praiseworthy initiative.
When I look at my contact and friends list, those are the
qualities I look for in people.
Not their continuous presence, number of points, level
or percentage of best answers.
I pick them for their humanity......as I feel it should be !.

you should do both- not at the same time but both at least once in your life.

I believe that sometimes you need to keep the stars, because by reaching for what you can't, you can accomplish things you never THOUGHT you could.

Other times you must replace them with hearts because it is it that tells you what's realistic yet still in your boundaries.

Or if you meant should we put love over education, etc...Of course if it's just a minor crush you should forget about it. But if the love is burning with such a fire that your gut is trembling with passion, you should go for it because it's not often a love that strong of power comes along....however those kinds can also be quite deceiving.

EDIT-
after reading "tarran wonderer's" answer, however, i think i may have mistunderstood the question...heh. o well. that's some good advice for some people anyway

Yeah I felt Love have been given snubbed over Duncan. He ought to have been there the 1st time. He must be in over Duncan. Duncan have been given the nod because of the fact, a million. this is a existence time achivement award, and because Duncan is an all time super PF he instructions an excellent kind of appreciate from the coaches. 2. Duncan's team is 40-one-8. even nevertheless it nonetheless isn't trouble-free to Kevin Love. We in no way be attentive to if Love is going to have yet another season like this lower back and he merits the spot because of the fact he's only enjoying greater useful authentic now. Duncan's team is 40-one-8 because of the fact his team is stacked and he performs with Parker, Manu, Jefferson, and an excellent bench. human beings attempt to say the gamers with dropping documents are not making human beings greater useful, yet Love is attempting to make Corey Brewer and Anthony Tolliver greater useful jointly as Duncan is fidgeting with Manu and Parker. Duncan's team is greater useful, straightforward and straightforward. Love is putting up historic numbers averaging 15 rebounds a pastime and those numbers have not been submit because of the fact Moses Malone. He had a 31pt, 31reb pastime, and distinctive 20 rebound video games. He merits the spot and that they might desire to no longer award communities with all famous guy or woman spots only because of the fact they are triumphing, because of the fact being chosen as an allstar is someone accolade. And authentic now Love is enjoying greater useful, and his team is rubbish authentic now and nonetheless have 11 wins as a results of him. luckily he made it.

Honestly? I don't go much for the 'written stars'. I just need to look up the skies on the darkest nights to appreciate them more.
Yeah, the love of the question is far better than like a 'honorary prize'...

Keep the stars. Some men may shy away from the hearts.

I think Stars appropriate for some Hearts for others, and brickbats for yet others (having seen stars misused to draw trolls to some of the questions they feed on before withdrawing the stars and any other positive things as well as deleting incriminating answers or substituting cut and paste jobs which were not their own original work. or just leaving numbers of thumbs down or illicit reports)

Stars, Hearts, Triangles, Squares, Circles. Does it really matter?

I guess hearts would be OK...

I like the stars though.

I think hearts would be a little girly and over the top! ^_^

Have a great day, man. If that's you in that pic,

Smokin'! ^_^b
