Best kind of shirt to wear with stripped pants?

Well I got these stripe capri pants but I'm not sure what shirt to wear with it. Like color-wise. I know solids probably work best but I'm not sure. The pants and black and gray.

Wear something with color, don't just do the plain black or white shirt. If you look like your avatar, plums or reds will look good on you or even a minty green.

Who the f**k gave me a thumbs down? I suppose white or black or PINK would be everybody else's color of choice? Get some originality in style already people. Quit being so safe and run-of-the-mill.

Yeah, definitely, you want to wear a solid color.
But with a black and gray stripe that can be any solid color you want. teal, bright orange, lime, really anything. I'd go with really bold colors, but I just really like those colors.

If it was a colored stripe I'd suggest a neutral or a similar color to one of the stripes considering the brightness of the colors in the stripes. a neutral if really bright and a similar color if it's less bright, although if the stripes in muted colors, like yours, bright would be better. Be sure to try different shirts to see which one you like best with your pants.

A solid shirt or camy in white,pink,pale yellow ,grey,pale green. violet almost any color . But I think a solid grey or solid violet top with a gold necklace would look smashing! Wear black shoes.
