Some of my friends say that China will bomb the USA in January of 2008 and that will start the "tribulation" era that the Bible speaks of. -Steve

It's possible, but your friends most likely have no way of knowing what foreign militaries are going to do and when; nor can anyone know for certain when (or if) a rapture is coming. People have been speculating about the rapture for 2000 years, some of them have even been absolutely certain they knew the exact date and time, and it still hasn't happened. Your friends are just as likely to be wrong as everyone else has been.

The Second Coming will be a fearful, mournful time for the wicked, but it will be a day of peace for the righteous. The Lord has not revealed exactly when He will come again: "The hour and the day no man knoweth, neither the angels in heaven, nor shall they know until he comes" - so is it possible, sure.

But He has revealed to His prophets the events and signs that will precede His Second Coming. Among the prophesied events and signs are:

* Apostasy from gospel truth (see Matthew 24:9–12; 2 Thessalonians 2:1–3).

* The Restoration of the gospel, including the restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ (see Acts 3:19–21; Revelation 14:6–7).

* The restoration of priesthood keys (see Malachi 4:5–6).

* The coming forth of the Book of Mormon (see Isaiah 29:4–18).

* The preaching of the gospel throughout the world (see Matthew 24:14).

* A time of wickedness, war, and turmoil (see Matthew 24:6–7; 2 Timothy 3:1–7).

* Signs in heaven and on the earth (see Joel 2:30–31; Matthew 24:29–30).

The righteous need not fear the Second Coming or the signs that precede it. The Savior's words to His Apostles apply to all who prepare for His coming and who look forward to it with joy: "Be not troubled, for, when all these things shall come to pass, ye may know that the promises which have been made unto you shall be fulfilled."

Naw, I am going with 2018.

Jesus used the word "generation" in Matthew 24. Could happen anytime from 1948 onward.

70 years, God likes 70 years, 70 years is 2018 (go "plus or minus 20 years").

80 years is 2028, twice Moses' divided years and David's splits in years. It could have been 40, which we know did not.

Daniel 12:4 "knowledge will increase" ~~~ knowledge is doubling very fast according to Bill Gates, Google, storage facilities.

DNA ~~~ science is discovering so much, new discoveries.

Just a couple of days ago ~~~ if a signal generator can split salt water into hydrogen gas, well, things happen. Self-sustaining too.

China???? 1st, USA will get very apathetic about the Middle East, the wars, etc. USA will not care if China's 200million army rolls into Mid~East.

NORAD will protect YOU! LOL!

Also, Israel will get very HOT, apathetic, for a peace treaty to turn over control of weapons? All nations except for 10% of weapons?? VERY MUCH STILL TO HAPPEN.

2nd, ~~~~~ Apathy reigns because people are missing, I hope. Maranatha!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not at all, because the Antichrist has not yet been revealed nor has the Great Tribulation occurred. Don't believe anyone who says they know when the Rapture will occur, because the Bible makes it clear that nobody except God the Father knows the time.

The "Rapture" could occur anytime now or 10,000 years from now. China does not want to bomb it's biggest trading pardner. There are just to many economic ties.

Possibly, but most likely, no. But please do repent all sins to your Lord our God so you can go to Heaven with all the rest of the people who believed and repented. Me included.
