With a 10 gallon there are really none. There are a few you could keep right after they are born, but in the blink of an eye they will outgrow the tank.

Even then in many places it is now against the law to sell sharks in aquatic stores.

Though they are not true sharks you will probably end up finding species like Balas and Blacks. Even then you are looking at much larger tanks due to how large they get and what else you will need in the tank.

Nonetheless, with a ten gallon you are out of luck.

Put itin salt water. Why did he put a saltwater fish in fresh water? It might be able to adapt to fresh water, if it's done very slowly over time, but not just dropped into freshwater, it will probably die. It's probably not a good idea to adapt it to freshwater anyway, It will stay healthier in salt water. That's where it's meant to be. I don't have saltwater tanks, but I'm pretty sure you can't just dump some table salt in the water and call it salt water. You need a special kind of salt to add to the tank that you get at fish/pet stores. It has the nutrients the saltwater fish needs. What kind of shark is it? Did you ask how big it will get, if it survives at all in that tank? Most sharks need large tanks, as they swim very fast, and will bang on the ends of the tank trying to do so, and can injure themselves, or shatter the tank. How big is the tank?
