I feel that it is all hunky dory to mold oneself, but dont try to make yourself fit into what others think is great. If you are an extreme feminist, roll with it. If you dont want to be a doormat, then dont. I would look at my own morals and see where it fits in. Possibly do more research on the prospects and ideas of either side and see where your opinions fit in.
As for not being a doormat, it is all about sticking up for yourself.

Yeah, just be true to yourself. Why is feminism such a dirty word? I consider myself a feminist and I sure don't think of myself as extreme. I'm just proud to be a woman, and I hope all my sisters are! But I love my brothers, too, and won't be a doormat for anyone.

well!! its a very subjective issue. feminism believes in the rights of women but it has been misutilised by women now a days. conventionally , women have been achieving the middle ground , staying back with their relationships, sacrificing and compromising due to their sense of belonging, love, affection and kindness. it is not a fulcrum , that you have to weigh and evaluate the duties involved and rights to be availed. most of the time, its driven by love and you will find yourself in the middle ground of rights and obligations automatically. feminism never taught about duties, it always talked about rights.
don't be a doormat, just love and do your duties, again duties is a subjective issue, i mean duties , which you can do maintaining your grace and dignity, and you will automatically feel the need of extreme feminism is lost and you are into equilibrium

Read about the Queen, in the book of Esther in the Bible, and yes I know that was a probably 3000 years ago I think it has meaning to day, she was a special woman. With great courage and wisdom.
