I'll be 18 on October 12th! That's like.. 3 weeks. I know there's a bunch of things but I'm sure I'm missing some :)

No Curfew (sometimes 17, depending on the state)
Alcohol (in some states)
Parents can't ground you.
You don't have to listen to anybody anymore, because you're an adult, and you'll do whatever the hell you damn well please!
Credit cards (stay FAR FAR AWAY from them, unless you must have one for an emergency).

You can vote! Which is good cause we need someone better in office! The bad side of being 18 is that you are now legal and can get arrested for all the stupid little things kids do and only get a slap on the wrist. Good luck and have a happy birthday when it comes!If you can't be good, be careful!

If you don't already have a license go get one.
You can get certain jobs like being a manager at a store or something along the lines of that.
You can smoke + play the lottery
Join the army
Basically you are 3/4 of an adult. You become a full adult when you turn 21.

You can by cigarettes if you smoke ( I don't though)
You can vote
You can play the lottery
You can open a bank account. (Some places let you do this before 18 though)
You are considered an adult.
If they bring the draft back you will be eligible for that.
Legal age to get married without parent consent.
And you can check yourself into the er without your parent there.

My friends told me that the best part of being 18 was being able to purchase dirty magazines. Not like women do that, but thats how guys think. Its great being 18 because you get to vote and make a difference.

In Australia you can drink gamble and go to night clubs legally and you can vote. Your classed as an adult but will get treated as a child. Go figure.

- start a life that you control, not your parents
- you'd be able to move out and have your own house
- you're able to vote since you'll be an adult
- more people would actually listen to you because you're an adult
- you don't have to deal with immature people at school
- you can get married since you're 18

You have your own life now, you can move out, you can vote, you could be more liable for you actions, and you will have more responsiblities, you can be married. There are all sorts of things. Just be happy! Happy Birthday!
