I accidentally spilled hot wax onto a chiffon like material. It looks like it dried embedded into the material. Does anyone know how i can remove it without ruining the material since its pretty delicate?

The old trick was to use blotting paper & an iron.
Try a few layers of paper towel; keep iron on low.

Freeze the material by putting an ice cube on it or over a cheese cloth which is placed on top of the waxed area. Scrape or pick off as much of the wax as you can. Then take an iron and put it on the lowest heat, place a cotton dish towel under the chiffon, put another clean piece of cheesecloth or a cotton dish towel over the chiffon and on top of the area where the wax is. Press the dish towel until all of the wax on the chiffon comes out on the dish towels. This should work.

Put it in the frezer until the wax gets cold enough to come off . if there is remaining wax put material between several layers of paper towel and put a warm iron of the top towel in a up and down motion not circular( circular will spread wax )each time you apply iron move paper to clean area or change towels to absorb the wax . Do this till wax is absorbed Best of luck

What the guy above me said. Or, if you wanna try something else, boiling water would melt the wax...then just get the wax off before it dries again. That's the secret, melting the wax and getting it off while it's still hot.

Dip it in boiled water just removed from the stove. Be careful not to burn yourself.
