My 6 year old son (7 tomorrow) gently snoring, my taps on the keyboard, the dishwasher rinsing, my daughters footsteps on the stairs- I'll come back.
It's ok another 10yr old's nightmare, a kiss and a hug solves all.

I can hear the ice falling down the back of my self defrosting freezer, some programme my husband is watching, the fan on the computer, the carriage clock on the fire place ticking.

I live in a street with five pubs in it and the one behind has two more so all I can hear is the distant hum of traffic, birds (yes, in Scotland they never sleep!) and the merry chanting of the local pi*sheads rolling home! Oh, and my stomach growling.............. :)
