I'm so new to the world of Internet, but not to the world of psychiatry! Yahoo! tells me I can be vulnerable and ask what to do about these invasive "registrycleanerxp.com" assaults, and some woman is accusing me of BLAMING my ISP & BROWSER! I'M blaming "registrycleanerxp.com!" for being a pain in my behind! I tried to send them e-mails, politely, to leave me alone, please. Uh... I did get a good answer about "messenger svce.!" Yes, that's on there, too! Let me figure that one out! Who do I "report" this to? I could recommend a therapist to the woman who misread my question and thought I was "blaming" ComCast or Opera, if she's interested as to why she jumps to the defense of profit-hungry corporations instead of inexperienced individuals -- then we are in a world where it is easier to get along with machines than people for some. Many thanks, "Jibbajabar." Free tech. advice? God provides. I nearly fell out of my chair. At 51 I can still learn. Love & Light******

I suggest you not take anything to heart, that takes place on any of these type forums.
All you really need as a novice, remember a few pertanant items.
Have a Virus Software and use it every couple a weeks.
Download Spybot's Search and Destroy.
Download Lavasofts Adaware-7
use them both once a week.
Stay out of your registry until you know what you are doing.
Stay off of all porn, and kiddie sites they will blast you with spam and all manner of trash.

Some of the users that frequent all of the different forums could use your proffesional help.
Learn to sort through the Bull**** on them.

Go to http://samspade.org and use the Whois service to find the administrator of the domain. You can contact them. A different contact is listed for the domain that hosts that site. Click on the DNS name to get that info. Go right to the source.

abuse@yahoo.com
-------------------
and for registrycleaner get that ***** **** off ur computer
----
start up in safe mode (F8)
go into the following folders and delete all the contents including folders in there

open windows explorer

kill everything in them, spare NONE !
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Local Settings\Temp\*.*
- delete all files and folders in this directory !
-----------------
C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\*.*
- delete all files and folders in this directory !
-----------------
look in prgram file
c;\program files\blah blah
- delete all files and folders in this directory !

C:\windows\temp\*.*
- scan and view anything that looks odd (maybe delete)

and then empty RECYCLE BIN
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After that scan for virus and spyware if u have the program/s.

Then restart in normal startup and see if this continues. If it does then I strongly and urgently request you to

reinstall your Operating System

Then when u get connected to the net

download
http://firefox.com and use this instead of Internet Explorer
