I have a sign that says "My house was clean yesterday....you should have seen it!"

Most of the time it is clean but at times where I have been alittle lazy in cleaning, no-one gets through the front door, way too embarrassing

Yes, it's a disaster...and I don't let anyone in...LOL
With 3 kids who are just "all too busy" to lend a hand but all too eager to create a mess, I'm simply not a maid, nor do I choose to be...so the house rests as it may and I get to it when I can.
They're learning (oh so slowly) to do their share...but I'm just too busy with work, chauffeuring, being part of the sandwich generation, etc. to worry about all the snooties whose houses sparkle like a mausoleum...more power to them...not my lifestyle however....perhaps someday when the kids are finally grown and out will I care about "nice" things once again! ;~)
The kitchen and shower and toilets are my weekly chores...I vacuum and wash once a week too...that is as far as I'm willing to go. Hubby does the laundry for the most part...I do the cooking and dishes.
The kids can live in their mess till they clean it, I just don't care anymore...LOL

I don't dust often, but my house is always clean from having everything picked up off floors and couches.
Sometimes I get embarrassed but then I realize that I'm human and I just don't care anymore.

It is pretty clean and smells fresh 2 me because I just cleaned up the bathroom & the kithchen while my sister just washed all the bed sheets and vacum the floors. Well..Thanx for asking,Bye!

It used to be like that, but we've had so much company over the past few weeks that we've been keeping it up very well. Hopefully we can continue the momentum!

My kids were playing with the neighbor girl, and when her mother came to get her I wouldn't let her in.
