This can lead to the end of the human race and everything else living! Get over your political parties and who said what! When there is no water left, THEN what are you going to do?!? You're lucky that my generation will fix your problems. If you all don't believe global warming then look up global dimming. That will explain why we are not completely feeling the effects of global warming. I would rather trust the scientists instead of the corporations...

by water, I mean pure drinking water, and why would corporations make scientists lie about global warming? Its bad for the corporations, they would lose buisness. I'm also against controling government, I think this its only up to us (the consumers) to stop it.

sm0ky, I don't own a car and I am planning on moving to an area with good public transportation. My family and I also live very green, even before we heard of global warming...I do my part, thats why i'm angry that others don't do theirs. Them being lazy and ignorant affects everyone, so why should we let them?

Never underestimate the power of stupidity.
There are two kinds of people who claim man is not responsible for global warming:
1. Major corporations that will be affected by tighter environmental controls. In is against their bottom line to curb their pollution, so they are bound by their stock performance to deny global warming. These people do believe global warming is happening, but they are forced to deny it for the sake of profit.
2. The second group of people are generally idiots. These are the ones that actually believe the propaganda put out by members of the first group. As long as corporations fund all major media with their advertising, you'll always have a lot of people in group 2. Education can't happen when the easily brainwashed are exposed to so much fake-science funded to maintain profits and high share prices.

Your generation will fix our problems? A mite arrogant, aren't you? And since you are one of the very, very few of your generation I've seen on YA who can even communicate effectively, I think we're *all* screwed.
I don't know a single soul who says global warming is not occurring. What *is* up for debate is how much man is to blame.
30 years ago, the scientific community was scaring the crap out of kids with the looming Ice Age. I just refuse to get excited anymore. Does that mean we should trash the planet? Of course not - and I don't know anyone who feels differently.
Living a rural lifestyle as I do, I resent the hell out of being lectured to by snotty little city dwellers who have absolutely no concept of life outside their little world. Do you think we have a big truck because it's "cool" or because we like spending a fortune at the gas station? We don't. We actually - GASP! - *need* a big truck. We have a small farm and need to haul horses, tractors, pigs, goats, hay....whatever.
I would *love* to take public transportation to work. I have to pay over $200 a year for a parking decal on campus - do you think I drive to work because I enjoy paying that $200? I don't - but, since I live outside of town, we don't get bus service. I'd park and ride, but the closest bus stop to my house is the building next to the one I work in.
Who do you think pays the scientists, honey? It's either government grant money, or it's a corporation.
Oh, and by the way....check the facts. George W. Bush has a very eco-friendly house - Al Gore can't say the same thing. A tad hypocritical, no? Or is it okay, since Al is a Dem?

I personally do not give a damn if global warming is man made or not, the effects and consequences of it is already beginning to take place. The polar ice caps are disappearing, hurricanes are becoming more frequent and stronger, the sea level will rise, places in various parts of the world are changing for the worse (many parts of Africa, drought and crop failure is becoming more frequent, this causes more wars like Dafur , and the Amazon is going through desertification.) the winters are becoming shorter and summers are becoming hotter, fresh water supplies are disappearing (lake mead the water levels are dropping rapidly due to less snow melt re supplying the Colorado river and even the great lakes are losing water levels.) insect borne diseases will become problems in areas they traditionally are not known to be and will become worse in places they are present in. With higher temperature, crime will rise (I know, I live in Vegas. I see tempers flare when temperatures flare.) and the bees are disappearing due to this climate change. What so great about bees? They actually pollinate most of the crops you and I depend on. Without them, much plant life will go extinct and that would cause loads of famine. Not to mention many of the states are suffering constant forest fires every year due to the temperature rising. In short it will be a huge mess. If I was a wise politician, I would not give a damn about the cause of global warming. I would be more concerned on how to prepare for it and the troubles it will bring.

Girl, please.....radical Islam will do us all in long before you have to start straining muddy water through a sock...
I don't know if global warming is real or not...there are just as many scientist saying it is a climate cycle as there are saying it is global warming....either way, I stand by my first statement.
If global warming is true, it is several years if not decades from directly effecting us....terrorist are here and now.

And you still put gas in your car also, right? When do we start taking the steps to really put the squeeze on the production of combustible oil burning engines, or simply change what they burn. Why does our leadership stay with vehicles that are placed on the hwy. making 10mpg when we could make 100mpg? What are these scientist doing to change anything? Don't expect the future generation to fix it! It starts with You, your just as guilty as the one making 10mpg. I have a friend that created his own HHO generator and has made better then twice the standard milage. Here is his personal video:

Well the fact is that thousands upon thousands of scientists (especially outside the US) state that man made global warming is a farce. What you are doing is blindly following the pro man made agenda because your ideoligical bedfellows tell you to yet turn around and tell others that they are the ones following the party line. What the agenda is going to lead to is government regulation of all aspects of life and wealth redistribution (carbon creditts etc)
Stop perpetuating the lie that those scientist who speak against the man made theory are bought and paid for by corporations. Dont forget the the alarmist business is a $40 billion industry.

Sorry. I did not know that I was ruining your future.
God created this world and is in control of everything that is going on in it. This global warming that you are talking about is just a longer than usual cyclical trend. Believe!

You shouldn't let them. You should do whatever you can to try and prevent global warming deniers from letting catastrophic climate change happen.
Don't worry, these people are in the minority. Don't let them dicate our future.

Global warming causes more rain and carbon dioxide is good for plants, trees, and crops. It's a natural cycle, and we won't run out of water. 'Scientists' should be putting our knowledge and technology to better use, by helping society adapt, if they REALLY believe in this crisis. But there's your answer..... they'll say anything to please the organizations who fund their research and keep them in their cush jobs. There is no crisis, and most of us know it. It's nothing that hasn't happened many times before, and with our current technology in high-yield farming, storage, transportation, and air conditioning, this won't even be a big deal.... other than to make more parts of the earth inhabitable. It might suck for the snow bunnies in Vermont.... that's about it.

If you are correct about humans being the cause of global warming, the planet is doomed.
Because the people doing much of the manufacturing live outside your ability to control.
Currently, we are just trying to keep these people from shipping toys and food that can harm us. And we are also fighting terrorists who want to eliminate us.
There is nothing wrong with taking care of the environment. I try to live responsibly, myself. But I can't keep my neighbors from throwing beer bottles in the bus stop. And that, my dear is life.
