not that I know of, but if you don't watch your tongue, and accuse me of being a crook, I may be the first one.

Sorry I don't know but it is such a good and interesting question that I am answering to keep an eye on the answers. Surely Debate is a good thing but often radio commentators have been taken to court for commenting so I want to know this too!!! :)

Not that I know of but I wouldn't be surprised if it eventually happens. I have seen some unbelievably cruel posts on here that have been completely undeserved and not remotely relevant to a Q&A forum.

Not that I know of.
But there have been quite a few bloggers put in prison in China as a result of yahoo snitching on them.
I don't suppose this answer will last long, but it's true-check it out.

they refer users to their disclaimer usually and rely on that small print to keep them out of trouble.
However recently on here I was subjected to a vicious and spiteful hate campaign, and as well as writing hateful stuff about me they dragged my terminally ill daughter onto the board and had a merry time mocking her and deriving great entertainment from it. There was even a 'question' posted detailing 'fiddling' with my daughter, that was when I decided enough was enough, because reading that was hard enough, but the replies it received were almost as bad.
My partner called the local CAB and they directed him to several solicitors in our area who are considering handling test cases relating to internet libel, stalking and harrassment. We had to wade through all the unpleasant posts and print them off to show the solicitor, who read through them and decided that yahoo were breaching their own guidelines by allowing a minor to be harrassed. She is currently communicating with Yahoo and we still keep an eye out for any posts that constitute libel and/or further harrassment.
I think sooner or later yahoo will find themselves in trouble because the disclaimer is not going to protect them from some of the worst cases of abuse they allow on here.
