Turtles do have allergies like humans! They will sneeze and yawn like humans! If there is no mucus discharge you should be OK.

Just watch out for coughing, gaping and bubbles coming from the nose alot. This might mean pneumonia!

Respiratory Infection:
Many times the symptoms such as runny nose and swollen eyes are the result of poor husbandry rather than actual infection, but if left uncorrected will turn into an infection.

An aquatic turtle with a respiratory infection will usually swim lopsided, bask more often and breath with a gaping motion

Well, turtles need a large tank (10 gal per inch of shell), a basking spot they can crawl out of the water, a heat lamp with temps set at 85-90F (use a probe thermometer), a UVB bulb made for reptiles set within 12 inches of the basking spot and changed every 6 months, a water heater, a water filter, frequent water changes, no loose substrate, a variety of diet items. Might be a respiratory infection, which would suggest that you are not keeping it warm enough.
