None, not one single word or one atom of solid evidence.

I ask this because you may believe there is after the dishonest way in which the Portuguese police have put out lie after lie to trick and pressure the McCanns into a "confession".

You could well be thinking there is after repeated nonsense based on nothing in Yahoo Answers and the tabloid toilet paper. So get it straight, no evidence, zero, zilsch. nada. Got it?

Very interesting replies Watkins, I asked for evidence of CRIME and all I get is the "they left their children alone" mantra. Is that the best you can do haters?.

To answer all those haters who are saying "how do I know". I do know and anyone with 2 brain cells knows they would be in a Portuguese jail now if one shred of evidence existed.

As expected this question has exposed the nonsensical thinking of the haters. It is important to remember what "evidence" I am talking about here. Yes they made a mistake in leaving their child for a few minutes they have admitted this but notice the pathetic string of repeat mentions of this mistake. Now why do I say pathetic?

Their reminders now repeated literally 1000s of times have resulted in people thinking the McCanns may be involved in the killing of their child , I repeat there is NO evidence to this effect haters, got that? None at all and you should be ashamed to infer otherwise with NO evidence.

You have made a very good point, by repeating over and over again that the McCanns left their children for a few minutes the anti McCann hate campaign people have inferred they are guilty of killing their child.

Trial by envious Internet wackos is NOT British justice

Everything so far is speculation all the rumours coming out about DNA and such are not yet confirmed. We will not know the exact details until charges are made and the court case happens if at all. Then we will know what happened and what the evidence is. Until then I would really just take whats coming from the PJ as newspapers trying to get their readers first.

You will always get healthy discussion on cases like this and there is nothing wrong with that it goes on in places all around the world and on the internet. Its only when these comments go above the boundaries of decency that I think you should worry.

Personally I think the parents havent told the truth from the start and therefore have not helped their case at all, they know far more than they are telling, what that is I do not know. But yes there is one piece of evidence that they neglected their children on that night and as a result we are all speculating as to what went on. If they were from a lower class background they would have been treated far differently from the way they have by the media and all concerned.

The McCanns, by leaving their children alone, are guilty of poor judgement - but that hardly equates to murder, ffs!

How much have you been paid by the McCanns to post this drivel? Or did you come to this brilliant conclusion all by yourself based on your godlike clairvoyance? Or is this just an example of xenophobia and racism - The Portuguese police have collected 10 dossiers of material on the case, but to you I guess that's insignificant because it wasn't compiled by the Brits or other people you deem more worthy of respect.

How do you know if there isn't any evidence. The only way you could know is if you are from the Portugese police. Also this might be just a thing that you heard. I am sure that the McCanns are innocent though I think with all the grief they are going though is heavy and I think they need more support from the Portugese Police!!!

yes, but if they didn't leave their children unattended, this would not of happened. You do realize that don't you? Being a good parent is part of the deal, and noone in their right mind leaves 3 small children alone period, let in another country. Never heard of such bull****!

Well done for pointing this out (have a star) although I know we will not change the opinions of these Self-righteous judgmental perfect people. It makes you wonder what would happen if you were accused of a crime that you did not commit, very frightening that people can judge you without any real evidence. The PJ are covering all ground (a bit late) because that is what they should do. The public in the Internet chat rooms are going mad!

Works both ways SamJ.
So..... Where is your proof that there is no evidence against em? You have personal access to all the police evidence?

Too many unanswered questions from their side if you ask me.

Oh yeah, there is of course the minor detail that they admitted to leaving 3 kids alone for the night, I'd say that was indisputable evidence against em - or are we meant to gloss over that fact cos "everyone does it"

How do you know? You work for the police? Has it never entered your head that the McCanns could be lying? and just because nothing has been proven does not mean a crime hasn't been committed. Fact- child missing (possibly dead) Fact- because parents left her alone in an unlocked apartment. Fact- parents guilty of endangering their daughters life, no one else but them.... Yeah they are totally innocent......

Have the Portuguese police actually made a statement to say they have used the lie tactic you mentioned to trick the McCann’s? What I don’t understand is you are so quick to state that so called ‘anti’s have no facts so should keep quiet but then you post a question that is based on no factual information either.

I do have one fact though about the McCann's they neglected their children on that night of Madeleine's disappearance.
